Reliability & Fidelity at every step

Brief History

J. R. Rittenhouse is an Arizona licensed fiduciary, #20045, and is an involved member of the fiduciary community for the past 25 years.  She began her career at the Maricopa County Public Fiduciary’s Office in Phoenix.  J. R. supervised all accounts receivable and payable for 650+ clients, monitoring all estates for possible income and benefits.  After a time J. R. moved to manage the estates of court-appointed guardianships, conservatorships and decedents.  Here J. R. prepared court inventories, accountings, pleadings and various reports to the court.  Eventually due to her wide-ranging expertise, J. R. was selected to supervise the most difficult cases the office was appointed to manage.  These types of cases included complex financial management, financial exploitation, litigations and recovery actions of estates for estates.

J. R. next used her expertise to manage the licensing program of professional fiduciaries at the Arizona Supreme Court in the Certification and Licensing Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts.  Through J. R., the Court for the first time presented sessions on probate issues at its annual judicial conference.  J. R. served as faculty for internal and external trainings for certificate holders and licensees, as well as all levels of judicial officers, court personnel and the public on probate and fiduciary issues, including ethical conduct.  J. R. has presented nationally to AARP’s Council on Aging and has presented annually on panels and individually, at the National Guardianship Association’s conference since 2006.  J. R.’s reputation and worth at the Supreme Court were recognized in 2002 when she was presented with the Court’s annual Values Award for outstanding work in representing the Court and maintaining the Court’s values in her daily work.  J. R. continued to receive recognition from the Court in 2006 with two awards from the Court for her re-write of Chapter 7 of the Arizona Code of Judicial Administration for certificate holders and licensees, including fiduciaries and the implementation of on-line fiduciary licensing renewal.  A colleague described J. R.’s work in drafting regulatory codes and legislation as “exquisite”.  In 2008, J. R. received the Arizona Supreme Court’s Judicial Branch Achievement Award for “Serving the Public by Improving the Legal Profession”, for her work on the Probate Rules Committee.

J. R. has also served the guardianship profession nationally by being a member of the Board of Directors of the National Guardianship Association, 2007 – 2009.  During her time on the Board of Directors, J. R. helped develop and participate in 2 national quality improvement reviews of the Vermont Public Guardian’s Office and the Delaware Court of Chancery.  J. R. continues today to actively serve all guardians by her work with the NGA.  Whether on a committee or responding to issues and questions posed on-line, J. R. participates to assist family and professional fiduciaries with a variety of issues.  As a fellow NGA Board member and conference presenter said of J. R.:  I have known J. R. Rittenhouse to be dependable, trustworthy, hard-working, and conscientious.  Her extensive knowledge of audit procedures provides excellent support for guardians, conservators and other fiduciaries.  I recommend J. R. without reservation for her good judgment, experience and expertise.”
